Calling all Toyota Boffins

Can anyone shed any light on whether the Toyota Celica T200 series (6th Generation) was available for sale prior to 1994?

Its normally listed as being a model from 94 > 99, although I have seen some imports for sale that claim to be 93's

If anyone can provide or point me in the direction of documentation that say's that this model was available for sale anywhere in 93 I'd most gratefull.

The ST20# series Celica was available in Japan from September '03 according to the EPC.
