Mixed or seperate grids?

Postby Coggi on Fri Mar 13, 2009 2:57 pm

I was just looking at the results from last year and it seams that most of the grids were mixed with the Mk2 cars....

Is this going to be the same this year as it was last year?

Hi Matt,

The plan this year was to run seperate grids for the mk1 and mk2 cars, with the mk3s joining in with whichever grid was most appropriate. This does depend on entry levels though and while space has been allocated for mk1s to race on there own at every meeting, there must be a certain number to make it viable.

At Snetterton this weekend the races have been split up so that mk1s & mk3s will race together for the first race, with mk2s having a seperate race and then all three classes together for the longer second race.

Basically, more mk1 entries make it more likely that grids will be seperated!
