Number Plates?

Postby Hass-Car 53 on Wed Dec 31, 2008 4:50 pm

According to the 2009 regs

5.17:
1. Positions: Race numbers must be displayed on each side of
the vehicle alongside the cockpit/driver and as far forward on the
front of the vehicle as possible. 750 Motor Club decals must be
affixed prominently near all number backgrounds. Cars will also
be required to carry 750MC championship decals on front &
rear number plates in the normal number plate position.
...

Does this mean that we'll have to carry number plates?

Hmm, I read that as:

Where the number plate is normally situated we must display a 750MC logo.

Unless I'm wrong it would be pretty unrealistic for all of us to display car registration plates on race cars.

Do these get sent out, or are they available from the first race onwards ?

Hi,

I was at the test day on Friday and asked about the number plate stickers. They should be fitted front and rear and the idea was the original number plate positions however i was told it wasn't too important. So long as they were close by!

My understanding of this is above or below the number plates would be fine, thus satisfying the import cars. Also i suppose if people were driving their cars to races they wouldn't need to replace them every week!

hope this helps

If you are covering the number plate on a car driven to the circuit, then simply stick it on the back and turn it round when you get there...
