Technical issues relating to mk3 MR2 Championship Race cars

MK3 Engine

Postby EDM on Mon Jan 26, 2009 10:28 am

Can anyone tell me if the engines in the MK3 are the same spec and interchangable with other Toyota's ie Avensis, Celica etc?

Also anyone compared lap times with a MK2?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes they are.

Not yet, although we'll have some idea how they compare when I take my Roadster to Silverstone on the 7th Feb. Depending on the circuit I'm expecting them to be within a second or two of the mk2 lap times.

Patrick , do you have your garage confirmations - what number ?

Would really appreciate to 'share' some space, otherwise would probably have to make do with an igloo outside in the paddock ....
