Mk1 Driver intro

Postby Hybrids on Thu Dec 18, 2008 3:32 pm

Hi
Thought I would introduce myself in the new Mk1 forum.
I bought John Wilsons old #17 Blue Meanie earlier this year and have competed with it with varying success.

I will be joing the MR2 Championship for 2009 and hope to see you during the season, the kettle is usually on, in the summer the BBQ is definatley on and a few drinks in the fridge.

regards
Gareth

Hi Gareth,

Glad to hear you will be joining us in 2009, I will also be signing up for the Championship and intend to compete in every event.

Just as a warning to last years top 3 MK1 drivers in the Championship, I raced against Gareth last year in what was both our 'Rookie' year and I can tell you he is seriously quick!! Whilst I would not want put any undue pressure on him dont expect a 3 way fight for the title in 2009!

With a number of 2008 drivers back in 2009 together with some new faces then the MK1 only grids in 2009 look set to be great racing from one end of the grid to the other :D :D

Hi guys.
As some of you may remember, I poked my nose in this year at Brands & again at Powernights. I'm hoping to be able to have a little more involvement in 2009

See you all on the grid! :D

Gareths BBQs are the talk of the paddock belive me.

I'm another driver who is looking at doing the championship next year. My name is John, I started racing MR2 last year doing the final 4 meetings in the RD series. Could usually be found near the back but stood out like a beacon due to the colour of my car! My user name will give you a clue.

John
was car 57 in RD but thats gone already, so car ??

And I was facing the wrong way at Powernights

Hass - I have a DVD from Motors TV covering that race - the one that was never shown on the box! Let me know if you want a copy.

Hope to be taking in a few races next year depending on finances etc etc

Hey Foxy!
I'd very much appreciate a copy also if possible - I did have to ruin my perfect approach to Copse to avoid you!
