Name: Simon Aris
Age: 44
Home: Oulton Broad (Suffolk)
Car #: 67
Colour: Orange/Black

Hi folks - thought I'd better introduce myself as I'll be having a go for the first time at Brands on the 25th!

Gonna be racing as the no.2 car in the LuckyP Racing Team.....like Pete I'm a Ultima owner looking for some mid-engine fun and on the limit practise - though I probably need a lot more than Pete

Unfortunately couldn't make the opener at Snetts even though this is my local circuit due to work commitments........got there just in time to get the car stickered up by Pete & watch the first race! Really looking forward BH & just hope I can have as successful first time out as Pete had!

Looking forward to meeting everyone on the 24th!

Regards, Simon

Welcome Simon,
I I hope you enjoy your first race as much as I enjoyed mine (and every one since, come to think of it!)
It will be really interetsing to see how you feel about returning to trackdays (even in a faster car!) once you have got involved in a race.

Cheers JOHN

Thanks for the welcome guys - really looking forward to BH....hopefully I can have a similar first race 'experience' as Pete!

Hopefully the force will be with me and I wont need to use the p-ray gun......but you never know

Think the contrast between the full on buzz of racing the MR2 and tracking the Ultima will certainly be an interesting one. Petes idea of using the MR2 as a learning base for the Ultima seemed like a great idea and taking the experience from one to the other should be good fun :D

To be honest the Ultima is not quite on the road yet.....should be complete and registered sometime in May....hopefully will get to bring it along to a race weekend or two.....here's a link to my recent Pistonheads Thread covering the first engine start:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... Start-up!!!

......think you'll understand the 'Tango' reference & the MR2 colour scheme when you see her!!

Look forward to meeting everyone at Brands.....gonna be there on the Friday in an attempt to get upto speed & hopefully avoid being lapped!!

Cheers, Simon #67

See you Friday Simon.

We'll just need to go over our formation pincer tactics for the final time and allocate some targets!!!
