Hiya all,

Yep, Patrick twisted my arm and I find myself tumbling (or more like stumbling  ) through the admin to try and get my car and me ready for the start of the season. I hope I make it.

Been trackdaying now for a couple of years and thought the time was right to take it on that little bit further and try my hand at this racing lark!!

I work for Toyota (GB) PLC in their Training Academy - and as far as I recall a driving exam wasn't needed at the interview!! So don't let the logos fool ya!! Ha!

What do I want to get out of the year? Well, I want to learn how to drive a mid engined car with commitment through the bends and not tippy toe round like I normally do! If I can bring some learnings back into trackdays, then job done. :)

The car is one that Patrick prepared (thanks Buddy) a black MkII with black wheels and a white interior. It's a import with a rather cool chassis number!!

I have an ARDS test booked for this Sunday and the Novice Race Licence is ready to go after that.

Just hope you have some space for me at the back of the grid!!!

The LuckyP Racing thing is all a bit tongue in cheek - coming from my nickname on Pistonheads. I've got a logo and everything!! TART!!

Anyways - that's me introduced. See you all in March.

Pete

Oh, and I forgot to add, I've been stalking the site since I bought the car in December - what a great improvement in the UI. Nice one Patrick!

Good pics on the banners - puts it it all perspective that orange MkII on it's side!! Did it recover?

I only found out about the incident when I received the photo, so I'm pretty confident Jeff bought it back down safely!

Err.....yes...one of the early entrants in the 'Design LuckyP Racing's Logo' competition. Needless to say, however accurate it may turn out to be, it didn't get a look-in!!!

Warning - Trawling the Internet for sheeet, can serously damage MY health!!!

Treated the car to a spring clean and a few coats of polish. Numbers and safety stickers now on - have I missed anything?

That's one seriously clean race car!
Sadly there's no prize for show and shine but who knows maybe you'll see a reduction in aerodynamic drag for all your efforts?

Er... don't forget to remove the turbo?

Nice wheels! Did the car come with them or you had them done for you?

Damn...I hoped no-one would notice!! I knew I should have taken the sticker off!! :?

They are the std wheels that Patrick left on the car. I said I wanted a 'stealth' car, and I believe he paints them mat black to keep the dust maintainance down!!
