2009 Season - Who's in?!

Technical issues relating to mk3 MR2 Championship Race cars

2009 Season - Who's in?!

Postby Rogue on Wed Feb 11, 2009 11:06 am

Hi All,

Just thought it would be worthwhile to start a thread for people to indicate that they were racing this year. Let us know whether you're an existing competitor, if you're new to racing or coming across from another series, doing the whole series or just a few rounds!

:D

I'm in! I've entered every single mk2 race there's been over the last four years and have decided to switch to the new mk3 class for a change. I'm really looking forward to finding out how they measure up against the existing Championship cars.

I'm in also. I have always prefered the mk3 as a car due to the design statement Toyota had when designing and engineering the roadster. So when the chance came to race one I have decided to give it a go. 8)

Plus I feel the need for topless racing, if it's not too cold :P

Yep, a return to the glory days like when I was the only mk2 driver... I've already cleared some space in the trophy cabinet. :D

I too am in for 2009, class C.

This'll be my third season of racing all of which seated in an MR2.
After two years of mk2 racing I'd of been happy with a third year in my trusty stead.
However with the recent fall in mk3 prices and having owned a turbo'd up Jap Import for three years, a 2004 n/a model came my way for a song and I snapped it up quick smart.

It's current status is more 'stripped out' than race-prepped with it hopefully off to Rogue next week to join Alrics mk3 in readiness for race prep.

Look forward to getting out on the grid and seeing faces old and new.

Rowland
