2009 Season - Who's In?!

Technical issues relating to mk1 MR2 Championship Race cars

2009 Season - Who's In?!

Postby Rogue on Wed Feb 11, 2009 11:04 am

Hi All,

Just thought it would be worthwhile to start a thread for people to indicate that they were racing this year. Let us know whether you're an existing competitor, if you're new to racing or coming across from another series, doing the whole series or just a few rounds!

:D

HI

I am intending to do a full season in class A this year, last year I joined mid season and raced in the MR2 Championship and annother series but found the MR2 Championship more enjoyable.

I have a revised car for 2009 that is lighter and slightly lower than 2008 and am hoping to be far nearer the front 8)

I have allready registered and will race in car #91, cant wait for the first race at Snett.

I admit to putting this off for a variety of issues, but sent off some stuff to register with the 750mc yesterday. Will be missing the first race, but intend to do as many of the double headers as possible after!

I should be in for this year. I haven't registered yet due to financial issues but should be in the very near future. I'll probably be missing the first handfull of meetings but I should hopefully be on the grid with my Number 53 as soon as I can :D

I am just getting around to regstering now, and will be ready to go for snett. Dad will be there as well. So cars 98 and 99 will be out on the grid.

Looking to do as much of the season as possible but will have to see how the finances go.

Well it's taken a while but I'm finally getting stuff done - Yep I'll be in for this year. I won't be doing the whole season but currently looking to do a minimum of 6 races (3 double headers) however wouldn't surprise me if I do a couple more - money dependent. Just got a new car, sitting on my drive, just started to rip stuff out. It won't get to Patrick for a couple of weeks so won't be doing Snetterton - but should be ready for Brands.....and this year I've gone Red!!

I think im in....

The car went down onto its own wheels today, first time in 6 months....!! The paint job is a bit interesting (Piss Take!)

So the car is done.... I need to talk nicely to my GP (You have to be under 16 stone to pass the medical) and hope i can pass an ARDS test!

I think i might go hillclimbing instead!!!!

Well I'm afraid I've had a disaster chaps, I have to pull out I am afraid. Bit of a problem with blood pressure and not being able to get it down. :(
Looks like I will be selling up!

Hi Toni l am sorry that you will not be able to compete this year, we have really enjoyed your company and enthusiasm for the sport. l hope that you will be able to return to the track in the future as l know how much love it.l had intended to only do a few rounds this year starting at Cadwell but seeing such a poor entry of Mk1s for Snett l decided to try and support it and have put in a late entry. l only hope my licence arrives on time. All the best for the future. Regards Arthur.

Sorry to hear that you won't be racing Toni :( Will you be coming out to spectate now & then?

In other news, I've got myself some cash together (provided everything goes to plan) & should be able to join in the second half of the season (after the end of June). So I'll be seeing you guys on the grid at Cadwell (the second time round  )
